ClawHub Reddit Skills Directory: 43 Skills for Browsing, Research, Marketing & More

March 19, 2026·8 min read

Reddit direction — ClawHub currently has 43 dedicated skills (slug or display name contains "reddit"), spanning everything from full read/write API clients to stealth intelligence scrapers to growth-hacking account warmers.

1. Full-featured Reddit Clients (8 skills)

These skills go beyond read-only — they support posting, commenting, moderation, or account management via the official Reddit API or browser automation. reddit dominates with 64 installs, more than the next 7 combined. Watch out for near-duplicate pairs: reddit-reddgrow and reddit-reddgrow-cli share identical descriptions.

#SkillDownloadsInstallsNotes
1reddit6,57964Browse, search, post, moderate; read-only works without auth
2reddit-cli2,93414CLI via cookies auth; read posts, search, get subreddit feeds
3reddit-api9159Search posts, comments, users, subreddits across 100M+ index
4reddit-skill2281ThreadPilot — login, whoami, comments, replies workflow
5reddit-engagement1211Create posts, add comments, execute full engagement workflows
6fapi-reddit1060Natural language → fapi.uk Reddit API; user/subreddit queries
7reddit-reddgrow00Reddit intelligence CLI for AI agents
8reddit-reddgrow-cli00Duplicate of reddit-reddgrow — same description

2. Read-only Search & Scraping (8 skills)

No auth required. Most rely on Reddit's public JSON endpoints or scrape old.reddit.com. Notable: reddit-readonly and reddit-read-only are near-identical (same summary, different slugs) — pick the one with higher installs. tiodopave is a niche outlier: it scrapes a Portuguese humor subreddit specifically.

#SkillDownloadsInstallsNotes
1reddit-readonly6,57634Public JSON endpoints, read-only; nearly identical twin below
2reddit-scraper3,96521Scrapes old.reddit.com; works without API key
3reddit-read-only2,69414Same as reddit-readonly; lower installs — prefer above
4reddit-search2,47918Search subreddits and get subreddit info
5search-reddit2,0279Real-time search via OpenAI web_search with engagement enrichment
6reddit-explore8810Generic Reddit explore/search entrypoint
7reddit-search-but-free00Zero auth, zero deps; three data providers
8tiodopave00Portuguese r/tiodopave subreddit joke finder

3. Research & Intelligence (10 skills)

The most technically differentiated cluster. reddit-insights leads by a wide margin using semantic AI search rather than keyword matching. apewisdom is the only financial-focused skill, surfacing trending stocks and sentiment spikes from WSB-adjacent subreddits. reddit-voc-lobster-pro targets product builders needing deep VOC (voice-of-customer) extraction. Most zero-install entries here are experimental.

#SkillDownloadsInstallsNotes
1reddit-insights5,36030Semantic AI search via reddit-insights.com; not keyword-based
2apewisdom1,1851Trending stocks + sentiment spikes from Reddit (ApeWisdom API)
3reddit-researcher7455Analyze posts + comments; summarize opinions, pain points
4reddit-spy3780Stealth subreddit intelligence — browse without leaving traces
5reddit-research2602Trending topics, recurring issues, and content gaps extraction
6reddit-voc-lobster-pro1500Deep VOC engine; extracts business insights + product recommendations
7witpulse-redditnews270Tech hotspot sensing from Reddit; generates satirical commentary
8reddit-topic-insight230Reddit data → X/Twitter posts, Xiaohongshu notes, WeChat articles
9brw-reddit-insights90Another wrapper around reddit-insights.com semantic search
10reddit-research-but-free00Zero auth research; three providers

4. Marketing, Growth & Lead Gen (8 skills)

The most controversial cluster. These skills are explicitly designed for founder outreach, Reddit seeding, account warming, and buying-intent scraping. acquire-first-1000-users-on-reddit is the most downloaded here with 308 dl and 0 installs — high interest, no one actually runs it. reddit-account-creator creates and warms accounts "at scale for marketing, SEO, brand promotion" — use at your own risk vis-à-vis Reddit's ToS.

#SkillDownloadsInstallsNotes
1acquire-first-1000-users-on-reddit3080AI seeding agent for founders; maps target subreddits, drafts native posts

7reddit-market-insights500Ecommerce opportunity research — pain points, trends, gaps
8phy-reddit-karma-scanner00Automated scanner for high-potential karma-building posts

5. Content Creation & Publishing (9 skills)

Note that postiz and upload-post — the top two by downloads — are multi-platform social schedulers that happen to support Reddit among 20+ channels. They're not Reddit-specific. The genuinely Reddit-native publishing tools (phy-reddit-post, reddit-write, reddit-post, reddit-assistant) all have zero installs. reddit-quote-topaz and reddit-quote-carousel repurpose Reddit quotes into Instagram carousels — a cross-platform content play.

Closing Observations

  1. One skill dominates the install count. reddit (64 installs) has more installations than all other 42 Reddit skills combined. Everything else is a long tail.

  2. 58% of dedicated Reddit skills have zero installs. 25 of 43 skills have never been installed. The gap between "interesting concept" and "actually deployed" is enormous in this category.

  3. Read-only clones are everywhere. At least 4 skills (reddit-readonly, reddit-read-only, search-reddit, reddit-search-but-free) do essentially the same thing — browse/search Reddit without auth. Differentiation is minimal.

  4. The marketing cluster carries ToS risk. Account warming, bulk account creation, and seeding agents are high-download, zero-install by design — founders look but don't run them (yet). Reddit's anti-spam enforcement has gotten stricter; treat these as proof-of-concepts.

  5. Semantic search outperforms keyword search significantly. reddit-insights has 30 installs and 5,360 downloads vs. brw-reddit-insights (9 downloads, 0 installs) — both claim to use the same semantic backend (reddit-insights.com). Wrapper quality and documentation matter.
