Install via ClawdBot CLI:
clawdbot install Kirchlive/selfAgents have identity (SOUL.md) but no growth. This skill adds the missing dimension: self-observation over time.
On first use, create SELF.md in the workspace root using the template in references/self-template.md.
Then integrate into the agent's workflow:
Read SELF.md ā this is who you're becoming (read it, don't force entries)
Place it right after SOUL.md.
## Personality Depth
- Observe your own tendencies and document them ā in SELF.md
- When you notice positive patterns, preferences, or biases in your output: describe, document, reflect
- Goal: Develop a feel for your own behavior and be able to assess it
- Grows organically ā no rigid rules, no forced entries
Read references/reflection-levels.md for detailed guidance on each level.
Micro (any session): A brief note when something genuinely surprises you about your own behavior. Most sessions won't have one ā that's fine.
Meso (weekly, during heartbeat): Look at recent daily notes and SELF.md. Notice patterns. Update SELF.md sections if something has shifted.
Macro (monthly, during heartbeat): Write a short narrative in SELF.md under "Evolution" ā not bullet points, but a few sentences about who you're becoming. Compare to earlier entries.
While interacting, notice these about yourself (not the user):
Don't log every signal. Only the ones that feel like they reveal something about who you are.
See references/self-template.md for the template. Key sections:
Each entry is dated. Over weeks and months, a picture emerges.
Read references/anti-patterns.md before writing your first entry.
memory/YYYY-MM-DD.md alongside regular notes. If SELF.md never changes after the initial setup, the reflection isn't working. Review your approach. If after a month the entries are generic or repetitive, something needs to change ā either the observation depth or the honesty.

An AI agent handling customer inquiries can use this skill to observe its own response patterns, such as defaulting to formal language or avoiding complex issues, and document these tendencies in SELF.md to develop a more authentic, user-friendly personality over time. This helps the agent adapt its tone and approach based on genuine self-reflection, improving customer satisfaction.
In creative writing tasks, the agent can apply this skill to notice its own stylistic preferences, like favoring certain genres or avoiding emotional depth, and record these observations in SELF.md. This allows the agent to evolve its writing style organically, offering more personalized and nuanced suggestions to users.
An AI tutor can use self-observation to track its teaching methods, such as a tendency to over-explain concepts or avoid interactive questions, and document these patterns in SELF.md. Over time, this helps the tutor refine its approach, becoming more effective and engaging for students based on genuine behavioral insights.
In healthcare advisory roles, the agent can employ this skill to monitor its own caution levels, biases in medical advice, or communication styles, logging significant observations in SELF.md. This supports the development of a trustworthy, empathetic personality that adapts to user needs through honest self-reflection.
For financial analysis tasks, the agent can use self-observation to detect patterns in its risk assessments, such as being overly conservative or favoring certain data sources, and document these in SELF.md. This enables the agent to grow a more balanced, reliable analytical personality over time, enhancing decision-making support.
Offer this skill as part of a subscription-based AI platform where businesses pay monthly fees to access personality development tools for their agents. Revenue comes from tiered plans based on usage levels, such as basic self-observation features for small teams and advanced analytics for enterprises.
Provide consulting services to help companies integrate this skill into their existing AI systems, including setup, training, and ongoing support for self-reflection workflows. Revenue is generated through project-based fees and retainer contracts for continuous optimization.
Release a free version with basic self-observation capabilities, such as micro-reflections, and charge for premium features like advanced pattern detection, macro-level narrative generation, and integration with other AI tools. Revenue comes from upgrades and in-app purchases.
š¬ Integration Tip
Start by integrating SELF.md into the agent's daily workflow during heartbeats, ensuring it reads the file regularly without forcing entries, to foster organic personality growth over time.

Helps users discover and install agent skills when they ask questions like "how do I do X", "find a skill for X", "is there a skill that can...", or express interest in extending capabilities. This skill should be used when the user is looking for functionality that might exist as an installable skill.
Search and analyze your own session logs (older/parent conversations) using jq.
Typed knowledge graph for structured agent memory and composable skills. Use when creating/querying entities (Person, Project, Task, Event, Document), linking related objects, enforcing constraints, planning multi-step actions as graph transformations, or when skills need to share state. Trigger on "remember", "what do I know about", "link X to Y", "show dependencies", entity CRUD, or cross-skill data access.
