article-to-notesTurn a web article (URL) into a clean, personal-knowledge-base style markdown note. Use when the user shares a link and wants a distilled note with title, source, key points, and quotes instead of a raw dump. NOT for full-text mirroring, paywalled content, or image-heavy galleries.

A grad student pastes article URLs from journals and blogs and wants consistent, distilled markdown notes stored in an Obsidian vault. The skill produces title, source, key points, quotes, and a personal take for each link, keeping the vault uniform. They follow up by searching notes by tags and dates.
A strategy consultant receives dozens of industry articles per week and needs to convert each into a quick briefing note with the source and key points. The skill saves notes under dated filenames and returns the 3-bullet inline summary to paste into client emails. This keeps research organized without raw dumps.
A writer collects links to save as personal notes before composing a weekly digest. Using the article-to-notes skill, they distill each article into editable markdown with quotes as evidence for their commentary. The 'My take' section helps them organize their opinion before drafting.
A PM links competitor blog and release posts, wanting personal notes to track market moves. The skill converts each article into a standardized note with source, date, and key points, saved under a notes folder for later retrieval. This enables quick weekly review and trend spotting.
An undergraduate saves articles from class reading lists as personal knowledge-base notes. The skill quickly produces key points and quotes, and where no quote exists, the section is dropped, keeping the note honest. They reply with the saved path and a 3-bullet summary to study from.
Offer the skill free for a limited number of notes per month, with a paid tier for unlimited notes, custom templates, and syncing to Obsidian/Logseq. Upsell features like batch processing and tag generation. Revenue comes from monthly subscriptions.
Package the skill as an add-on for team knowledge bases, allowing shared notes, custom formats, and compliance checks. Charge per seat or per workspace. Revenue is recurring per-seat licensing.
Sell a done-for-you digest service where human editors plus the skill produce curated notes for clients. Customers submit URLs and receive distilled notes delivered weekly. Revenue is via monthly service retainers.
💬 Integration Tip
Integrate with note-taking tools like Obsidian or Logseq by saving to a vault folder, and respect paywalls by only processing user-provided or accessible URLs.
